Banking and Finance Law Firm of the Year

November 5, 2011 - VILAF won the “Banking and Finance Law Firm of the Year” 2011 for Vietnam at the Acquisition International Legal Awards.

The Acquisition International Legal Awards celebrate excellence and reward law firms for their contribution to client service, innovation and commitment to quality.  Acquisition International is a monthly magazine brought by AI Global Media Ltd, a publishing house that has reinvigorated corporate finance news and reporting.

VILAF has been consistently ranked on the top tier by both IFLR and Legal 500 for most major practices including banking and finance, capital markets, M&A and project finance.

The firm recently advised SCB in relation to a syndicated term loan of US$430 million to PetroVietnam, Citi in relation to US$400 million loan to Nhon Trach 2 Power Project Company, and BNP Paribas as co-arranging US$540 million to VNPT for the financing of its telecommunication network expansion.  The firm also recently advised several Vietnamese conglomerates in their Singapore bond listing transactions which were Vietnam’s first international bond transactions.
