VILAF is Proud to be Winner of Several International Awards

VILAF has won the “Banking and Finance Law Firm of the Year” 2011 for Vietnam at the Acquisition International Legal Awards. 

The Acquisition International Legal Awards celebrate excellence and reward law firms for their contribution to client service, innovation and commitment to quality.  Acquisition International is a monthly magazine brought by AI Global Media Ltd, a publishing house that has reinvigorated corporate finance news and reporting.

VILAF also won the “Best Firm in Vietnam” Award and was nominated for the “Best Firm in Talent Management” Award at the Euromoney Legal Media Group’s inaugural Asia Women in Business Law Awards.  These recognize VILAF’s commitments for the advancement of women in the legal profession.

The nominations were based upon research by Euromoney Legal Media Group, in an evaluation of law firms’ commitment to gender diversity, talent management, and female leadership. The winners were announced at an awards ceremony on December 8, 2011, at the Jockey Club in Hong Kong.

VILAF has been consistently ranked on the top tier by Chambers & Partners, IFLR and Legal500 for most major practices including banking and finance, capital markets, M&A and project finance.

The firm recently advised SCB in relation to a syndicated term loan of US$430 million to PetroVietnam, Citi in relation to US$400 million loan to Nhon Trach 2 Power Project Company, BNP Paribas as co-arranging US$540 million to VNPT for the financing of its telecommunication network expansion, advising a syndication of Vietnamese banks for US$250 million loan for the construction of a FPSO for the Chim Sao oilfield. The firm also recently advised several Vietnamese conglomerates in their Singapore bond listing transactions which were Vietnam’s first international bond transactions.
