VILAF has been named the Highly Commended Corporate and M&A Team of the Year by the Legal 500 Southeast Asia Awards at its inaugural Southeast Asia Awards 20/21 on Thursday, 25 November 2021.

VILAF was selected out of the 15 prestigious law firms from the Southeast Asia region shortlisted for the Corporate and M&A Team awards.

VILAF was a finalist in 5 award categories including Law Firm of the Year,  Banking and Finance Team of the Year, Corporate and M&A Team of the Year, Litigation Team of the Year, and Lawyer of the Year (Private Practice).

73 law firms across the region were shortlisted for this year’s awards from 417 ranked firms in the Legal 500 annual guide. Legal 500 did an “extensive research into Southeast’s legal elite, and the compilation of in-depth market rankings and extensive editorial insight.”  This practice award recognizes firms that have undertaken the most high-profile, high-value, and complex transactions and disputes over the last 24 months. It also highlights those practices which have exceeded market expectations. 

Legal 500 (2021 Edition) remarks, “VILAF continues to be a market leader in the Vietnamese M&A market and has strength-in-depth in handling high-value deals.”

This year, VILAF has also received other prestigious international awards including the ALB Vietnam Law Firm of the Year, IFLR Vietnam Law Firm of the Year and Asialaw Vietnam Law Firm of the Year.
