On 17 March 2022, VILAF was awarded the Vietnam Law Firm of the Year by IFLR Asia Pacific Awards 2022 for the third consecutive year.

VILAF was also shortlisted for the High Yield Deal of the Year Award for its work in BIM Land’s US$200 million offering of 7.375% high yield bonds due 2026 for listing on the SGX-ST, which is Vietnam’s first Green Bond and one of the first Regulation S international bond offerings by a non-public company in Vietnam.

Among the notable deals and projects which VILAF has advised and which were closed in 2021 include the US$500 million offering of exchangeable bonds for listing on SGX-ST by Vingroup, the US$300 million offering of convertible bonds due 2026 by Novaland Group, the strategic acquisition of Masan Group’s feed business by De Heus LLC, the acquisition of 70% equity stake in Duy Tan Plastic by SCG Packaging, the financing of US$2.2 billion Vung Ang 2 BOT Power Project, and the demerger and ADB financing of B.Grimm Power’s US$360 million Dau Tieng Tay Ninh solar power complex.
