On 24 November 2023, VILAF was invited to attend “Moody’s celebrates the launch of Vietnam Investors Service” at the JW Marriott Hanoi organized by Moody’s, one of the top global credit rating service brands.

Vietnam Investors Service (VIS Rating) is a joint venture between Moody’s and several members of Vietnam Bond Market Association (VBMA) to form a credit rating agency in Vietnam. Vietnam Investors Service (VIS Rating) has obtained the license for credit rating services from the Ministry of Finance on 18 September 2023 and became the third licensed credit rating agency in Vietnam. This venture also is Vietnam’s first foreign-invested credit rating agency.

This joint venture, with strong support from Moody’s and VBMA, mark a historical milestone for creditability and transparency of the Vietnam bond and capital market.

VILAF team, led by senior partner Anh Dang, counsel Hoang Duong, and associate Tu Quach have acted for Moody’s as Vietnamese law counsel in this transaction.
