REHDA Institute Concludes Successful International Strata Symposium 2025

REHDA Institute successfully concluded the International Strata Symposium 2025, held on April 8 and 9, 2025, at M World Hotel, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The two-day event brought together over 280 participants, including industry professionals, government representatives, and key stakeholders in the strata and property management sectors.

The symposium featured expert speakers from across the Asia-Pacific region, Australia, Hong Kong, and the UK, who shared valuable insights into legal frameworks, best practices, and emerging trends in strata management. The event aimed to foster growth, encourage collaboration, and promote international benchmarking to strengthen Malaysia’s strata landscape.

VILAF Partners Ms. Hien Truc Nguyen and Ms. Ngan Nguyen were invited to participate in the symposium as panelist and speaker, respectively, covering the topic “Strata Property Governance in Vietnam: Key Trends and Challenges in Vietnam’s Strata Property Sector.”

Comparing to other jurisdictions, urban housing development in big cities in Vietnam primarily involves the redevelopment and renewal of old housing built in the 90s in prime areas. The government drives urban redevelopment through policies and strategies rather than en-bloc and private collective sales mechanisms. There is a need for complete redevelopment and renewal, focusing on individual property transactions and broader urban planning policies.
