In 2023, VILAF has also added Tram Dang, a Senior Associate arriving from another international law firm and specializing in projects, real estate, healthcare and M&A.

Our New Counsel, Duy Anh Tu

Duy Anh Tu has been with VILAF since 2012 as an intern and quickly rose through the ranks. Anh specializes in a wide range of practices including commercial and corporate, aviation financing, M&A, anti-trust, and capital markets. He has worked with foreign investors and multinational funds in various financing transactions, international bond offering, and listing, as well as purchases and sales of shares and assets in various industries. He recently worked on Vinfast’s US$23 billion SPAC combination and Nasdaq listing and Vingroup’s issuance of new exchangeable bonds to institutional investors at US$250 million.

Our New Senior Associates

Viet Nguyen

Viet Nguyen began his career in VILAF Hanoi Office and continued his path in Ho Chi Minh City. Viet has been a member of VILAF’s dispute resolution team. He frequently assists client in arbitration, litigation, crisis management, pre-dispute negotiation, settlement and other matters, which are contentious in nature. He also has considerable experience in corporate, foreign investment, and labour. Some of his notable experiences include advising DL E&C in a dispute in the Hanoi Metro Project, Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd in a compensation dispute, and Keangnam Enterprises Ltd. in relation to a dispute with AON Vietnam in an EPC contract.

Viet Tran

Viet Tran has been with VILAF since 2017 as a trainee lawyer after working as a “banker” having an economics degree and CFA Level II of CFA Institute of the U.S. He has been specializing on  matters involving foreign investment, corporate, M&A, IPOs, anti-dumping, customs and WTO.  Especially, by equipping with a broad and solid background in the financial sector, he is capable of further discussing with clients in terms of specialized matters in banking, finance, economics and accounting sector.                       

Tu Quach

Tu Quach focuses on foreign investment, corporate and M&A, capital markets and anti-trust. In 2023, Tu Quach participated in several notable transactions including SCG Decor’s US$543 million IPO on Thailand Stock Exchange and J&T Express’s US$500 million IPO on Hong Kong Stock Exchange which were respectively the largest IPO in Thailand and the second largest IPO in Hong Kong last year. Tu joined VILAF in 2020 after several years of experience in a top international law firm in Vietnam.

Tram Dang

Prior to joining VILAF, Tram Dang had practiced laws for 10 years with several major international law firms in Vietnam.  Her practice focuses on Projects, Real Estate, Healthcare and M&A.  She has advised industrial developers on various real estate, regulatory, utilities investments and distribution matters, and also advised several major infrastructure development projects including the financing of such projects in Vietnam.  She holds a Joint LLM Degree in Transnational Trade Law and Finance from Goethe University – Tilburg University – and Deusto University, organised under a scholarship program of the European Commission (2014).
