VILAF has won Project Finance Deal of the Year at the ALB Southeast Asia Awards 2022 for its work on the Financing of Vung Ang 2 BOT Power Project at the 2022 ALB Southeast Asia Awards held at the Grand Hyatt Singapore on 25 May 2022.

VILAF advised JBIC and other international lenders as Vietnamese law counsel in the US$1.8 billion financing of Vung Ang 2 BOT power project with a total capacity of 1,200 MW in Vietnam for the last 10 years.  The financial close occurred at the end of 2021.  The VILAF team advising the project included Partner Duyen Ha Vo, Counsel Kim Anh Nguyen, Senior Associate Quynh Anh Le, and Associate Quynh-Nhu Le.

VILAF was also a 2022 ALB Southeast Asia Award finalist in 3 award categories including the Vietnam Law Firm of the Year Award, the Debt Market of the Year (Midsize) Award (for its work in the Vingroup’s International Bond Offering and Vinpearl’s Exchangeable Sustainable Bond Offering) and the Project Finance Deal of the Year Award (for its work in Dau Tieng Solar Power Project Financing).
